Greetings,
Have you ever noticed that our most severe tests come when something has distracted us and we’ve looked away from Christ? As long as we’re gazing upon Him in awe and worship, the enemy has a real problem getting our attention. But like Peter walking on the water, the moment we’re no longer focused on Jesus, WHAM! That’s when we’re attacked and begin to sink.
Matthew 14:30 (NKJV) – “But when he saw that the wind was boisterous, he was afraid; and beginning to sink he cried out, saying, "Lord, save me!"
Since we’ll always be surrounded with distractions and problems, the trick is to stay focused on Christ. Keep your eyes fixed on Him. When we’re looking full in His wonderful face, the things of this world seem to grow strangely dim.
Lord Jesus, Your glory outshines all else. There is nothing and no one who compares to You. This world is filled with challenges, storms, and difficulties. I want to keep my eyes on You; never on the disturbances around me. Today, my desire is to see You in Your glory and splendor.
Today, I’m worshiping with Natalie Grant and “Turn Your Eyes.”

Greetings,
Have you thought about where you could be five years from now? God wants the best for you and stands ready to help, but we need to also prepare ourselves. The books you read, the friends you keep, and the thoughts you think help point you in the direction you want to go. The first two things matter because they influence the thoughts you think:
Proverbs 13:20 (NKJV) – “He who walks with wise men will be wise, But the companion of fools will be destroyed.”
Since close friends tend to strongly anffect our lives, we must be very careful who we choose as our friends. Most people want friends who will agree with their ideas and thoughts. They believe that anyone who challenges their way of thinking is against them. But those with a different perspective, and who in love are willing to disagree with us, are actually better friends than those who agree with everything we say or do.
Let’s choose our friends carefully. They actually cast a vote on whether or not we will succeed in life!
Father God, surround me with people who will prove to be a godly connections. Let them become divine relationships who will never steer me in the wrong direction. And help me be a wonderful friend to them, as well. May I be the kind of friend to others that You have been to me.

Greetings,
God’s Word will correct us … IF … (and that’s a big IF) … we allow it to. His Word was not intended to merely pat us on the back and tell us how well we are doing. He wants to help us mend our ways and adjust our behavior. When that happens, we will experience even greater favor and blessings from above.
Unfortunately, some people do not want to be corrected:
Zephaniah 3:2 (NKJV) – “She has not obeyed His voice, She has not received correction; She has not trusted in the LORD, She has not drawn near to her God.”
Some people refuse to draw near to God, but they don’t won’t wander too far away either. They want to stay close enough to receive His blessings, but far enough away that they can do as they please. They know that moving too close will require adjustments in their lifestyle, so they hang back rather than pressing in.
Father, draw us close to You. Create in me a heart that desires correction and values Truth. The spirit of this age makes us want to only listen to those voices that “tickle our ears.” Please challenge and confront me. I want to be more like You. Help me make whatever changes are needed that my life will reflect Your heart. We need You, Lord!

Greetings,
God honors the law of sowing and reaping. After all, He established it as an irrevocable law of the universe. This principle is most often associated with giving, but it involves much more. It’s actually true in EVERYTHING we do!
Psalm 126:5-6 (NKJV) – “Those who sow in tears shall reap in joy. [6] He who continually goes forth weeping, bearing seed for sowing, shall doubtless come again with rejoicing, bringing his sheaves with him.”
What does that mean? It means that whatever you sow—effort, time, sacrifice, or resources—it will be rewarded. The only requirement is to plant the seed in good soil. So, if you do your best and are careful to invest, God will see that you reap a harvest!
Sow into your marriage… sow into your children’s future … sow into soul-winning…sow by showing kindness and giving mercy…sow into the Kingdom of God. All of this is good soil. You will definitely reap a much greater harvest if your seed is planted in productive soil. Think about this one … if you sow with tears, you’ll reap with laughter!
Father, I believe the principles found in Your Word. Your Word is Truth. Help me to be a sower. I want to sow into the fertile soil of vital relationships, by being kind and merciful to everyone. I want to forgive others as You have forgiven me. My desire is to sow my time where it counts, to give myself to what truly matters and yes, to sow even financially. You are the Lord of the Harvest.
