Greetings,

Yes, God can become angry; but it doesn’t last long. On the other hand, His favor lasts for a lifetime!

Psalm 30:5 (NKJV) – “For His anger is but for a moment, His favor is for life; Weeping may endure for a night, But joy comes in the morning.”

How precious it is for God’s favor to rest upon us for our lifetimes—and then to be extended to our children and grandchildren! That’s what the Lord promised to Abraham, David and others! When we please God, He blesses us and our families.

Lord, I pray that Your favor will remain upon me all the days of my life, and then be upon my children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren for as long as they live. Your favor causes things to happen that our time, effort, and connections could never achieve.

By Your Grace, help us to please You, that as long as we live in this world, we will continue to experience the great things that You have planned for us and for our offspring. I love You, Lord!

Today, I’m worshiping with William McDowell and “Nothing’s Impossible.”

Greetings,

Abraham did not allow his faith to be shaken due to doubt or unbelief in spite of challenging circumstances.

Romans 4:20-22 (NKJV) – “He did not waver at the promise of God through unbelief, but was strengthened in faith, giving glory to God, [21] and being fully convinced that what He had promised He was also able to perform. [22] And therefore "it was accounted to him for righteousness."

Even though Abraham was a very old man and was married to a woman who was also up in years, he knew that if God made a promise, He would keep it—no matter the problems or circumstances, if we will only believe!

Abraham was strengthened by his faith. That’s what faith will do! Unbelief makes you weak, while faith makes you strong. Believing God’s promises is a choice. When we make the decision to believe, God counts it to us for righteousness. Now, how good is that!

Father God, I choose to believe Your promises. Help my faith grow stronger each day that I may be able to believe You for bigger and more important things. I want to believe for things that will bring You greater honor and glory.

Greetings,

God has always been concerned about the poor. It blesses me to know that He cares about the well-being of the least of us.

Psalm 41:1-3 (NKJV) – “Blessed is he who considers the poor; The LORD will deliver him in time of trouble. [2] The LORD will preserve him and keep him alive, And he will be blessed on the earth; You will not deliver him to the will of his enemies. [3] The LORD will strengthen him on his bed of illness; You will sustain him on his sickbed.”

God isn’t just slightly moved by the plight of the poor; He truly wants their lives to improve. In a world filled with so many good things, it breaks His heart to see that some people are not enjoying His blessings. I know beyond any doubt that God will bless us when we choose to bless others.

Heavenly Father, every good and perfect gift is from above. If You feed the birds of the air, how much more will You love and provide for those who were made in Your image. Thank You for caring about our well-being!

Greetings,

Rain is vital to life. Without it, crops would die, orchards would wither and livestock would perish. Humanity would suffer and nature would be destroyed. We also need the spiritual rain that God provides for our souls.

Ezekiel 34:26 (NKJV) – “I will make them and the places all around My hill a blessing; and I will cause showers to come down in their season; there shall be showers of blessing.”

The Lord promised that the life-giving rain of the Holy Spirit would descend upon Mt. Zion, or His church. In fact, He assures us that we can depend upon heavenly showers of blessings from Him.

Do you need God’s rain to pour upon you? He can open heaven over your thirsty soul. You can drink deeply from His abundant, life-giving rain!

Rain upon us, Lord! Let Your showers fall down upon the dusty soil of our hearts. Let it keep flowing until Your Spirit becomes a river that overflows its banks. We ask You to turn this sin-parched earth into a beautiful garden oasis. Send us Your rain.

Today, I’m worshiping with the Binions and Miranda Curtis and “Waterfall.”
